The population in Mauritius is approximately 1.3 million people excluding tourists and in the last month, Fatti has been able to pick up over 500 000 unique visitors to the Bagatelle Mall. Fatti can therefore monitor one third of the population’s shopper behaviour in Mauritius. Approximately 60% of cell phone owners visited the mall in the month, providing retailers with a great opportunity for digital engagement.

Early indications are that there is a higher amount of visitors coming to the mall than initially expected and local school holidays do not affect shopper behaviour as much as what it does in South Africa.
