Project Description
Schneider Electric
The French-based multinational, Schneider Electric, will be the first tenant in the Allandale building. As a global leader in energy management, sustainability is at the heart of Schneider Electric’s business, and its commitment to the environment will be reflected in its new green premises.
New Southern African HQ
Earthworks began in February this year and construction on 1 April 2015. Schneider Electric will began functioning out of its new, modern, environmentally innovative SA office building in September 2016. They occupy 4,265 m² of the 14 869m² building.
Energy and environment
This will be the first LEED Silver-rated building in Waterfall City. The building will use 30% less energy than a traditional office by employing more planet-friendly products such as light bulbs, air conditioning and heating units, time switches and recycling.
Modern office environment
The future-fit office is being designed with young, dynamic professionals in mind and features plenty of open, collaborative space. Facilities within the four-storey building will include canteens and state-of-the-art meeting rooms designed to encourage better communication and team spirit.
Prime positioning
Situated in the business heart of Waterfall City, Schneider Electric staff will enjoy easy access to the Waterfall City Park and Mall of Africa – which also opened in April 2016.
