Project Overview:
Barlow Park Phase 2 completed in June 2025 continued the transformation of the former Barloworld headquarters into a vibrant, mixed-use residential precinct on the edge of Sandton Central. Positioned between the M1 highway and Katherine Street, the development promotes inclusive, high-density urban living within walking distance of key economic opportunities and green space.
Phase 2 introduced two residential buildings offering 846 rental units above active retail space. A grand stair connects residents to a podium level featuring a school, sports centre, gym, business centre, pool and shared social spaces. Basement parking, controlled access, and dedicated e-hailing zones enhance convenience and mobility.
Designed around pedestrian movement, green walkways and sheltered terraces, the precinct prioritises safety, comfort and community interaction. Sustainability principles include passive design, natural ventilation, solar energy integration, water-efficient systems and indigenous landscaping.
Supported by social infrastructure such as a pre-primary school and community facilities, Barlow Park fosters a connected, resilient urban neighbourhood.
Size: 846 residential units
