Project Description

Atterbury is developing a new 9,300m2 distribution and office facility to consolidate sustainable technology company Rubicon into new headquarters in Richmond Park, Milnerton, Cape Town.

Rubicon will combine its operations, currently spread across six different locations in the Mother City, into one tailor-made multi-million Rand facility that includes a 7,900m2 warehouse and 1,400m2 of offices incorporating a 250m2 showroom. Construction of the facility commenced in November 2021 for completion and occupation in mid-2022.

Rubicon’s new business base will be in Richmond Park’s retail and logistics focused southern precinct, which positions it among blue-chip neighbours in a high-demand destination. Rubicon will be adjacent to the new Takealot Pick-up Point and distribution facility, set to open in March 2022. In addition, the southern precinct of Richmond Park is home to Richmond Corner shopping centre, with 6,500mof popular convenience retail in 22 stores, which include anchors Pick n Pay, Woolworths Food, and Clicks. Thus, Rubicon’s move will add quality to its staff and business partners with easy access to many retail amenities.

The new Rubicon headquarters will benefit from great exposure, boosting brand awareness. Richmond Park provides exceptional accessibility, with upgraded road access from both the N1 and N7 highways.

The new facility also provides the necessary flexibility to accommodate Rubicon’s future growth with 1,200m2 of expansion potential and additional parking capacity to match.
