Only 32 weeks to go!

After three years of construction, excitement is mounting as we get closer to the launch of Mall of Africa. With just 32 weeks to the opening of the mall on 28 April 2016, an incredible 204 000m³ concrete and 18 500 tons of steel have gone into the making of Mall of Africa so far. The current total staff and labour on site making it all happen on a daily basis is a massive 1 450 people.

To date, 10 000 000 bricks have been laid, 570 piles have been driven into the ground, an incredible total of 9 200 columns have been built and 530km of post tensioned cables have been used in the making of this iconic mall.
