It’s hard to believe we had to live without the Mall of Africa for so long! In celebration of our favourite shopper’s paradise, we compiled a list of reasons to love the mall this month!

  1. Rushing to catch the shops after work is such a drag, but at Mall of Africa that’s never a problem, with stores open until 20:00 daily – and even longer trading hours coming for the season; get details on mallofafrica.co.za. And now you can even park for free – park on level 5 in parkades E and G and you won’t be charged. This offer is valid right up until 31 December 2016.
  2. Drink bubbles! You won’t find a champagne bar in just any old mall. The best thing to do at cocktail hour is to visit Monkz Sushi and Champagne Bar for a glass of bubbly. Hint: twist the boss’s arm and book it for your Christmas party…
  3. Enjoy the “invisible pianist” on the Yamaha Baby Grand situated in the Crystal Court… yes, it plays by itself! And during the next two weeks candidates participating in the Atterbury National Piano Competition at the Atterbury Theatre from 17 – 21 October will also be performing live on this beautiful instrument, so keep an ear out!
  4. Snack on sushi! Wasabi in Town Square is famed for their Berry Roses – imagine a salmon rose topped with fried crème fraiche and dressed with a berry reduction…and for a main course we hear the langoustines are the bomb – large or extra-large, LM-grading imported from their own fisheries in Mozambique.
  5. Get the latest summer fashion trends from the international chains you love… H&M, Cotton On, and Zara will make sure you look like a million bucks this season.
  6. Up your game and head to the luxury court, where elite brands such as The Kooples, Versace Collection, Tiger of Sweden, Elle Women, Armani Colleczion, Paul Smith, Hugo Boss, D’ore, Hackett of London and Day Birger are waiting to seduce you with their wares.
  7. Watch movies in total style… Ster-Kinekor’s Cine Prestige is such a spoil – you get access to an exclusive VIP lounge area where you don’t have to queue for tickets or popcorn…
  8. Shop for all things Apple! The iStore is the newest addition to the Mall of Africa family and opens on 14 October 2016.
  9. End a hard day’s shopping, relaxing in beautiful Waterfall Park, where you can enjoy a beautiful Jozi sunset alongside the interactive musical fountain.
  10. Mall of Africa loves technology as much as you do… so download the MOA app and register an account. You’ll be spoilt with massive store promotions!
