To tie in with the heavy emphasis on outdoor living and leading a healthy and active lifestyle at Waterfall, Virgin Active built one of its first outside training facilities at the Waterfall Lifestyle Centre gym. The greater Waterfall has several walking and cycling trails in the area for this purpose that are enjoyed by residents living in the various surrounding Waterfall Estates.
Located on the corner of Woodmead and Maxwell Drive (across the road from the Waterfall Corner Shopping Centre) this gym is 4 250 square metre in size and has been open since July 2014.
A year later, Bounce Inc opened at the Waterfall Lifestyle Centre complementing the gym and the centre as a whole. (Bounce Inc is an urban playground that features more than 100 interconnected indoor trampolines.)
This is Atterbury’s third Virgin Active gym. The other two are situated in the Thornhill Shopping Centre in Polokwane and in the De Ville Shopping Centre in Durbanville, Cape Town.
