Atterbury is so proud of the incredible women who form part of our team. Cornelia de Kock, Company Secretary shares her experience in the property industry as part of our series on exceptional women at Atterbury Property:
How did you get involved with the property industry?
I studied BCom Law and LLB in Potchefstroom and was admitted as an attorney in 2008. I soon realised that practising law was not as exciting as I thought it would be and decided to broaden my horizons. It was during this time that I completed my MBA degree and thereafter joined Atterbury in 2012. I have been working as the Company Secretary since 2015.
What do you like most about working in the property sector?
The dynamics of the property industry and the fact that every day brings new challenges keeps me motivated.
What advice would you give women who want to get into the property sector as a career?
The property industry is diverse and allows for women to be successful. Work hard, stay focused, be determined and partner with an employer that demonstrates integrity both in the workplace and in the industry as a whole.
