As privileged people we don’t really ever feel the winter chill in our bones. That is why we’ve decided that this month, on 14 June, it’s goodbye to the hair. On this morning we’ll be clipping our hair crew cut style to feel the freeze. Every participant will also donate R250 or more in cash towards providing a bit of warmth to Pretoria’s less privileged citizens.

Challenge your friends to do the same, use the hashtag #LaatDieHareWaai and show everyone on Facebook that you care.

Every participant who makes a donation can collect a free cheeky Sabana at GrootFM’s studio in the Bloukrans Building, Lynnwood Bridge to warm up that newly clipped head somewhat – from 14 June 2017, while stocks last. Make sure you make that donation and remember to use the hashtag #LaatDieHareWaai as proof of your involvement.

Even if you don’t clip your hair crew cut style, you can still contribute by making a cash donation and challenging friends to follow suit – use #LaatDieHareWaai in a Facebook post, EFT your donation and go and collect your free Sabana at GrootFM.

Contributions can be deposited into this account: Atterbury Trust, Nedbank: 1497004187, Branch code: 149745, Reference: LaatDieHareWaai.

Who have already confirmed that their hair will fly?

Louis van der Watt and a large group of supporters of the campaign at Atterbury are doing it; so are Lood Bester and his Wildswinkel team, Konrad Fleischhauer and the Fledge Capital team, as well as the guys at Twin City and Safari Outdoor.

So, grab that clipper and do it yourself, or ask your mate, your lady friend or your barber to do it for you. Do it at home, at work or in the traffic, but just do it! On 14 June we want to see your hair fly.
