Atterbury HR Manager, Ronel Muller shares her #lifeinlockdown experiences with us: “If you had told me a couple of months ago that I would be working full-time from home, without a domestic worker while home-schooling my three boys, I would have thought you are crazy. But this has been the reality for most of us and amazingly enough, I have learnt how adaptable we as humans are, how much we can achieve by using technology and that teenagers are capable of making beds and washing dishes.
In a time of uncertainty, while living through something that none of us has ever been through before, we as a family decided to make the best of a situation over which we had no control. We started a ‘lock-down-minute’ where, every night before dinner, each of us takes a minute to share something positive from their day in lockdown – and this certainly taught us how many small things we take for granted in our lives. Even though it is not always easy, and we all miss our family, friends and colleagues, lockdown has reminded me that we sometimes just need to slow down and count our blessings.”
